Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has
admitted he is not feeling the pressure to
add to his trophy collection before
stepping down as manager.
After celebrating 20 years in charge of the
Gunners this week, the Frenchman has
spoken in great depth about his time at the
club, where he is surely guaranteed
legendary status.
Wenger is already the most successful and
longest-serving manager in Arsenal’s
history, but some fans have called for his
head in recent years due to a less
successful second ten years of his reign.
Still, Wenger feels comfortable that when
he eventually does leave the club, he will
be remembered for his entire two decades
in charge, rather than just the last few
years.

‘I am not obsessed by that (winning
another trophy),’ he said. ‘Would (Alex)
Ferguson have not have gone out on a
high after the history?
‘Time makes a difference with what the
guy has done. He would still be the same
great manager had he not gone out on a
high. You don’t just keep the last year.’
Still, the 66-year-old insists his hunger to
keep on delivering silverware is still there,
adding: ‘I want to win absolutely
everything and play the perfect game in
every single game, that is my dream – get
people to enjoy what they see, and the
players to enjoy what they do.’
