According to a police source, the pastor’ s wife had travelled to Lagos and the 16 - year - old maid was left to take care of their two children and other domestic chores . DailyTrust reported that trouble started when the teenage maid , wanted to run away after he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her but the pastor restrained her . “ She started crying and drew the attention of the girl ’ s mother who stays near the area , ” the source said, adding that the man confessed to have committed the act to the mother who reported the matter to the police . CSP Nurudeen Sabo, who is the Kubwa Divisional Police Officer, confirmed the incident. He said : “ Policemen arrested the 36 - year-old man of God on Tuesday. He confessed to the crime , saying that it was the devil’ s work . “ The case will be transferred to the state CID for investigation but we have taken the girl to the hospital for medical examination .”
