Shinji Kagawa struck twice for Borussia
Dortmund to help the German club set a
new record in the Champions League on
Tuesday evening.
Dortmund ran out 8-4 winners over Legia
Warsaw in a breathtaking European clash
which is now the game with the most
goals in the competition’s history.
The previous record was held by Monaco’s
8-3 victory over Deportivo La Coruna in
2003.
Kagawa netted Dortmund’s first two goals
after Legia Warsaw had taken the lead in
the 10th minute.

Marco Reus struck before the break to give
Thomas Tuchel’s side a 5-2 lead by the
break, while the Germany international
followed up with two more goals in the
second half to complete his hat-trick.
Dortmund remain two points clear of Real
Madrid at the top of Group F but face the
Champions League holders in their final
game on December 7.
