Kanye West was said to be ‘acting erratically’ only hours before he was taken to hospital after cancelling his Saint Pablo tour. The rap superstar was visiting the home of Hollywood health guru Harley Pasternak when police were called to the property on Monday afternoon. It’s claimed that the star was in an agitated state and was handcuffed in the back of an ambulance to secure his own safety before agreeing to hospitalisation. But while the exact reason for Kanye’s hospitalisation is yet to be revealed, People magazine claim that Kanye is being treated for sleep deprivation and exhaustion after a gruelling few months. A source told the publication: ‘He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation. ‘He went to the hospital at will under the advice of his physician. He’s fine.’ Kanye’s hospitalisation came on the same night that wife Kim Kardashian was expected to make her first appearance since she was robbed in Paris last month – with a scheduled appearance at the Angel Ball in New York. Live Nation, who promote Kanye’s tour, have since confirmed that the 39-year-old has cancelled the remaining dates – with friends fearing that he is suffering from ‘nervous exhaustion’. Confirming Kanye’s hospitalisation in a statement, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said: ‘At 1.20pm, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an unspecified medical aid request in the 900 block of North Lauren Avenue. ‘An adult male described as medically stable was taken to an area hospital for assessment.’
