7 Cameroonian Players Snob AFCON Call Up

Seven Cameroonian internationals have indicated that they have no desire to play for Cameroon in the 2017 African Cup Of Nations.


The seven players are Joel Matip (Liverpool), Allan Nyom (Wet Brom), Poundje (Girondins Bordeaux), Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (Olympique Marseille) and Ibrahim Amadou (Lille).
Cameroon’s football federation reserves the right to report the players to CAF which will then suspend them from club football for the duration of the tournament.
“These players have put personal interest above those of the national team and the federation reserves the right to take action against the players in accordance with Fifa regulations.”
