A car bomb targetted at a bus conveying off-duty soldiers has killed several people and wounded many more in the central Turkish city of Kayseri
The bus carrying off-duty soldiers was opposite a university campus when the explosion occurred, reported Turkey’s Dogan. Images on TV showed that the bus was reduced to a complete wreck by the blast.
The explosion comes a week after 44 people were killed by a bomb attack in Istanbul claimed by Kurdish militants.
Turkey has suffered a series of bombings in 2016 at the hands of both Kurdish militants and jihadists.
