Chelsea are planning to loan out Michy
Batshuayi to another Premier League club for two seasons, according to reports.
The Sun claim that the Belgian remains in
Antonio Conte’s long-term plans but the
Italian feels that the striker needs more
experience before competing for a first-team place at Stamford Bridge.
The belief is that Batshuayi can emulate
Romelu Lukaku’s development with a smaller Premier League club before making a return to Chelsea.
Batshuayi was signed in a £33 million deal
from Marseille this summer but has failed to compete with Diego Costa for a regular role.
The 23-year-old is yet to start a Premier
League game this season and was even
overlooked when Costa was unavailable
either through suspension or injury.
West Ham were interested in a loan move for the forward in the January transfer window and could revive their interest at the end of the season.
