
Manchester United and Arsenal youngsters
Marcus Rashford and Alex Iwobi lead the
Premier League’s nominations for the
2016 UEFA Golden Boy award.
The pair have been nominated alongside
the likes of Renato Sanches, Gianluigi
Donnarumma and Moussa Dembele for the
prestigious award.

Manchester United forward Anthony
Martial won last year’s prize and six of the
previous 13 winners have come from the
Premier League.
Rashford, 18, burst onto the scene with
goals on his Premier League, Europa
League and International debuts last
season.
Iwobi, 20, has cemented his spot in
Arsenal’s first team after an impressive
second half to the season last term.
As well as Rashford and Iwobi, Dele Alli
and Kelechi Iheanacho have been
rewarded for their fine performances with
nominations.
Manchester United have had three
previous winners of the award with Wayne
Rooney (2004), Anderson (2008) and
Martial (2015) claiming the prize, while
Cesc Fabregas was a winner at Arsenal in
2006.
Nominations for the award must be born
after January 1st 1996 and play for a
European club.
