Dwayne Johnson has no regrets about calling out
his Fast & Furious co-stars.
The 44-year-old actor recently opened up about
his famous Instagram rant -- in which he called
some of his unnamed male co-stars "candy
a**es" -- in a new interview with the Los Angeles
Times. "I was very clear with what I said. I've been in
the game a long time," Johnson explained.
"Would Universal have preferred that didn't
happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is
after that and as they do their tracking and all
their analysis, the interest shot through the roof
to a whole other level."
The action star famously took to Instagram in
August to slam his male co-stars shortly before
production on Fast 8 wrapped.
"Some conduct themselves as stand up men and
true professionals, while others don’t. The ones
that don’t are too chicken sh*t to do anything
about it anyway. Candy a**es," he wrote. "When
you watch this movie next April and it seems like
I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my
blood is legit boiling -- you're right."
This is my final week of shooting
#FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise
that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An
incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has
been great partners as well. My female co-stars
are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-
stars however are a different story. Some
conduct themselves as stand up men and true
professionals, while others don't. The ones that
don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it
anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this
movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting
in some of these scenes and my blood is legit
boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play
great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character
that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The
producer in me is happy about this part😉.
Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong.

A source later told ET that Johnson's beef was
with co-star Vin Diesel. "There were several
times Vin was late to set and it really started
pissing Dwayne and other cast and crew off," the
source said. "At the end of production, Dwayne
was really over Vin's bulls**t. As far as I know,
they haven't spoken since they left set."
