Jose Mourinho was unimpressed with
Michael Owen criticising Zlatan
Ibrahimovic and decided to hit back in
hilarious fashion by trolling the former
Liverpool striker’s record at Manchester
United.
The Portuguese boss has not been happy
with the manner in which certain pundits
have taken aim at the Swedish striker this
season and defended the 35-year-old by
brutally trolling Owen.
Ibrahimovic has
scored 13 goals in his
first five months at
the club, although he
will feel he should
have a few more
after missing some
chances.
But he’s scored only four fewer than Owen
managed in his three seasons at Old
Trafford, and the self-proclaimed ‘Special
One’ made sure he didn’t forget it.
‘Zlatan in spite of your colleague Michael
Owen, who doesn’t like him, the fact is
Zlatan will score more goals in one season
than he managed in three seasons at
Manchester United,’ he told BT Sport.
He scored 17 goals in three seasons.
Zlatan is almost there in six months so
he’s not a bad choice for us.’
