Manchester United are reportedly ready to
double Marcus Rashford ‘s wages at Old
Trafford which would see him become the
joint highest-paid teenager in the world.
The 18-year-old burst on to the scene last
season, with the youngster scoring eight
goals for United and he has continued his
form this campaign, finding the net on two
occasions despite limited playing time
under Jose Mourinho.
Rashford signed a new four-year contract
with the Red Devils at the end of May but
it’s understood the club remain in
negotiations with the forward’s agent over
yet another deal.
The Sun suggest the Premier League
giants are prepared to double Rashford’s
wages from £25,000-a-week to £50,000-a-
week in an attempt to ensure the England
man’s future lies with them.
It would make the forward the joint
highest-paid footballer on the planet,
along with Bayern Munich midfielder
Renato Sanches who United actually tried
to sign this summer.
Rashford has been used sparingly by
Mourinho so far this term but a goal in
United’s 3-1 defeat to Watford at the
weekend has convinced many supporters
that he must start more matches from the
off.
The teenager’s strike at Vicarage Road
means he is United’s leading goalscorer in
all competitions since the turn of the year.
