Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Jose Mourinho do not get on, according to Richard Keys

Richard Keys has claimed that Jose Mourinho is not the ‘biggest fan’ of Manchester United striker Anthony Martial and that the feeling is mutual. The Frenchman has been heavily involved for United this season, starting every game except the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on September 10, but Keys says his relationship with his manager is on the rocks. Martial has enjoyed an impressive start to his United career after joining just over a year ago from Monaco, but Keys has suggested he has clashed with Mourinho since the Portuguese took over. ‘I do hear worrying stories of a little unrest amongst a few players and I understand that Antony Martial is not his biggest fan – nor Mourinho Martial’s,’ Keys wrote on his blog. Games: 5 Starts: 4 Assists: 2 ‘That’s certainly something to keep an eye on. Martial wouldn’t be the first wide man that Mourinho has fallen out with would he? ‘Having said that, who hasn’t got unhappy players at a club? No-one. ‘It’s generally those who aren’t playing that make the most fuss.’ Good thing Martial’s and Mourinho’s terrible relationship does not get in the way of him playing, phew. Keys currently resides in Doha, Qatar, so we’re not too sure how much he would actually know about goings on in Manchester. Presumably, not a lot.
